Biografía de Rick Riordan

Rick Riordan (San Antonio, Texas, EEUU, 1964) es autor de literatura juvenil. Era profesor de instituto hasta que el fulgurante éxito de la serie Percy Jackson y los dioses del Olimpo hizo que pudiera dedicarse a la escritura a tiempo completo. Años más tarde escribió la secuela de la saga, titulada Los Héroes del Olimpo. Riordan es también autor de la serie de misterio para público aduto Tres Navarres, así como El laberinto de huesos, el primer libro de la serie The 39 Clues y la trilogía Las crónicas de Kane. Muchos de sus libros estan basados en la mitología griega, romana y egipcia, con una trama ambientada en la época actual. El autor ha recibido múltiples premios, entre ellos el premio Mark Twain en 2008 per El Ladrón del Rayo, en 2009 por El Mar de los Monstruos y en 2013 el premio Best Fiction Book for Children en Bulgaria por La Marca de Atenea.
