Biografía de J.M. Barrie

Sir James Matthew Barrie, conocido como J. M. Barrie (1860 - 1937), fue un novelista y dramaturgo escocés. Es especialmente famoso por haber creado el personaje de Peter Pan, basado en sus amigos, los Llewellyn-Davies.

Segundo de diez hermanos, Barrie nació a Kirriemuir, Angus y fue educado en The Glasgow Academy y la Universidad de Edimburgo. Ejerció de periodista en Nottingham, después en Londres, y después se dedicó a la literatura, primero en la novela y posteriormente al teatro. Fue nombrado baronet en 1913, y Miembro de la Orden del Mérito en 1922.
