Biografia de Oliver Jeffers

(Port Hedland - Austràlia, 1977) Artista, il·lustrador i escriptor.

Australià de naixement, criat a Belfast (Irlanda del Nord). Va estudiar en un institut especialitzat en art digital (Hazelwood College) i es va graduar en Comunicació Visual en la Universitat d’Ulster en 2001. Posteriorment va tornar a viure a Austràlia, i finalment avui dia resideix a Brooklyn (USA), des d'on crea les seves obres.

Porta venuts més de 10 milions d'àlbums infantils il·lustrats en tot el planeta traduïts en una trentena d'idiomes.

En 2004, el seu llibre Com atrapar una estrella va ser publicat pels llibres de Harper Collins Children's. Després de l'èxit internacional d'aquest títol, Oliver va fer Perdut i oposat, que va ser un èxit més de vendes; aquest llibre va guanyar el Premi d'Or per a Llibres Infantils de Nestlé en 2005.
