Biografía de Lewis Carroll

Lewis Carroll (Daresbury, Reino Unido, 1832 - Guildford, Reino Unido, 1898), es el seudónimo de Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, sacerdote anglicano, lógico, matemático, fotógrafo y escritor inglés, conocido sobre todo por su obra Alicia en el país de las maravillas (1865), un éxito de ventas que le impulsó a escribir una continuación titulada A través del espejo y lo que Alicia encontró allí (1871).

Lewis Carroll escribió también poesía, campo en el que destaca el poema narrativo La caza del Snark, plagado también de elementos fantásticos. Además de diversos textos matemáticos, fue autor de trabajos dedicados a la lógica simbólica, con el propósito explícito de popularizarla.
