Biografia de Lewis Carroll

Lewis Carroll (Daresbury, Regne Unit, 1832 - Guildford, Regne Unit, 1898), és el pseudònim de Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, sacerdot anglicà, lògic, matemàtic, fotògraf i escriptor anglès, conegut sobre tot per la seva obra Alícia al país de les meravelles (1865), un èxit de vendes que el va impulsar a escriure una continuació titulada A través del mirall i allò que Alícia va trobar allà (1871).

Lewis Carroll va escriure també poesia, camp en què destaca el poema narratiu La caza del Snark, ple d'elements fantàstics. A més de diversos textos matemàtics, va ser autor de treballs dedicats a la lògica simbòlica, amb el propòsit explícit de popularitzar-la.
