Jöel Dicker es uno de los autores más jóvenes y exitosos de los últimos años. Sus novelas son traducidas en más de 30 idiomas. Aunque con 19 años publicó su primer relato en francés titulado Le Tigre (2005), no fue hasta 2010 y con 25 años cuando se dio a conocer al gran público tras ganar el Premio de los Escritores Ginebrinos con su primera novela publicada Los últimos días de nuestros padres (2010).

Unos años más tarde, publicó La verdad sobre el caso Harry Quebert (2013), obra con la que se inició en el mercado literario en castellano y con la que se convirtió en un escritor de best-sellers internacional.
