Biografia de Noam Chomsky

Noam Chomsky (1928), lingüista, filòsof, politòleg i activista estatunidenc d'origen jueu-ucraïnès, es va doctorar en lingüística en la Universitat de Pennsylvania en 1955 i en l'actualitat i és catedràtic emèrit del departament de Lingüística i Filosofia de l'Institut Tecnològic de Massachusetts (MIT) i un dels intel·lectuals més destacats del segle XX. També és reconegut pel seu activisme polític, caracteritzat per una forta crítica al capitalisme contemporani i a la política exterior dels Estats Units. Ha escrit nombroses obres sobre lingüística, filosofia, història de les idees i sobre política internacional contemporània.
